Relationship Advice

Are you looking for relationship advice? If you're looking for relationship advice about a specific problem in your relationship, we suggest that you read The Love Tactics Book by Tom McKnight. But for basic, general relationship advice, we can help.

One-Size-Fits-All Relationship Advice
When it comes to dating and relationships, there are some basic rules that anyone would be wise to follow. For example:

Be respectful of your significant other
Be able to trust one another
Be able to relax and have fun together
Have patience
Have a sense of humor
Listen to each other
Compliment each other
Help each other with daily tasks
Do nice things for each other
Support each other's goals and have common goals

Relationship Advice from Friends
When you're having a problem in your relationship, it's natural to talk about it with friends. Sometimes just hearing the problem out loud helps you to be able to figure things out on your own. And sometimes you just need someone to listen. But if you're seeking out relationship advice from a friend, be sure to consider where it's coming from. If you ask for relationship advice from someone whose relationship ended recently, chances are that person won't be objective. In addition, they see you as a potential ally if your relationship doesn't work out. Instead, turn to a friend who's in a successful relationship and ask what they would do in your particular situation. And finally, remember that advice on relationships is different from dating advice. Dating advice is intended to get you to the point of having a relationship. Relationship advice is more about maintaining it.
