Write A Love Letter If The Mood Strikes

Technology comes and goes, but a love letter will endure

With all of our modern day technology, a love letter is special for different reasons.

Emails are a form of love letter, but sitting down and handwriting a letter to your lover is even more special.

Most of us can whip out an email in no time flat. But sitting down to hand write a sentiment takes more time -- especially if you're trying to use neat handwriting. If you are trying to show your true love for the object of your affection, this could be just the ticket.

Okay, in the above example, we know that's just a metaphor.

It's in a song too. But that's beside the point.
The point of this page is to explain to you how much a love letter means.
This is especially true of women. Many women keep love letters from old boyfriends (or even from guys who wanted to date them at some time) even after they've found the love of their lives. It's flattering, and it's nice to know that someone cared enough about you at one time to put his feelings into words on paper. And we've all heard stories about women who saved every love letter written to them by their husbands.

This was especially true when men were away at war and a love letter was their sole form of communication. (Usually this was well before we had email or cell phones, or even very good quality telephone service.)

Love letters, love poems and greeting cards are likely to score you big points. A love poem is definitely harder to write, but if you've got it in you, why not write one to the one you love?

Have you ever heard of love letters written in the sand? What a pain that must be! First of all, it would be time-consuming, second of all, the wind and water would make it disappear. Why not just break out a paper and pen and write your love letter down on paper?
